James R. Lindsay is President and CEO of The Lindsay Group, LLC. He has owned the firm since 1995. The firm provides consulting services in strategic planning, fundraising, and training to nonprofit and government agencies, businesses and corporations. Mr. Lindsay has worked as a consultant to and has managed agencies and businesses for over 20 years. He taught proprietary software to GM Dealers nationally for four years. He is a certified grant writer for the Mayor’s Executive Office of Washington,D.C. and is a grant reviewer for five federal agencies. Mr. Lindsay has a Bachelor’s Degree from Mercer University, Macon, Ga. a Masters Degree in Social Administration from Georgia College, Milledgeville, GA. and completed work towards a PHD in sociology at the University of Notre Dame at South Bend, Indiana. He is an adjunct professor teaching Sociology at the Northern Virginia Community College. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Dr. Constance A. Lindsay is currently a
Professorial Lecturer in the School of Public Affairs at American University.
Dr. Lindsay obtained a doctorate in Human Development and Social Policy from
Northwestern University in 2010. While
at Northwestern, Dr. Lindsay was an Institute of Education Sciences’
pre-doctoral fellow. Her dissertation
research focused on the impact of various contexts on adolescent achievement,
with a particular focus on closing achievement gaps. At American, Dr. Lindsay
teaches quantitative methods courses as well as education policy.
Since leaving Northwestern, Dr. Lindsay
has worked in education policy in various contexts, applying her research
training both in traditional studies and also in the creation of new systems
and policies regarding teachers. In her
work for the District of Columbia Public Schools, she designed and implemented
the IMPACT system for Special Education teachers in the district. During her work on the Center for Naval
Analyses Education team, Dr. Lindsay provided research support to a study of a
collectively bargained teacher pay-for-performance system, the Using Data
Professional Development Study, and served as the Virginia researcher for the
Regional Education Lab at Appalachia for a year.
Alexander M. Wilson, BBA is an employee with the firm. Mr. Wilson is 2010 graduate of Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is a 2006 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School Hyattsville, Md. He will assist the firm with marketing, business development, research and proposal writing.
